Learn what sets Digital Silver Prints® apart, including their proven archival superiority, completely neutral image tone, and the unmatched richness only a continuous-tone silver print can deliver. Featuring striking examples from photographers who have chosen Digital Silver Prints® for their finest work, this session will give you a deeper appreciation for what makes a true black & white silver gelatin print unlike anything else available today.

Crappy Camera Photowalk with Dennis Keely

Crappy Camera Photowalk with Dennis Keely

Time: Sunday, October 4, 2026, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Location: Photo Walks

The Crappy Camera Walk on Sunday is an exciting opportunity to bring any camera to a world of possibility. Bring a camera that's been sitting on your shelf or buy a plastic camera from Freestyle. Our group will walk from a pre-determined Point A to a pre-determined Point B. We will explore the street and people, architecture, urban circumstances, personal expression and the potential discovery of your own set of frameworks and engagements with the world. When reduced to their most primal function, all cameras are simple capture devices. Books and Museums of Photography are filled with the history of photography. The photographs and the cameras that made them would be considered junk compared to the materials and devices we use today, but the timeless beauty of these less than perfect images has resonated with those who pay attention for generations. This walk and talk will focus more on the “Why" we make pictures. How our practices speak about us; not just about taking a picture of the world but making something about the world. A city, a moment and perhaps most importantly, what makes us slow down to consider who we are as people, artists, image-makers and storytellers. We will limit this walk and talk to the first 30 people who sign up.
