Each year Click! offers opportunities for photographic artists to bring their work to a wider audience.

Call for Work: Click! Plein Air

We’re excited to invite photographers from around the world to submit their work for Click! Plein Air, an outdoor photography exhibition celebrating the power of visual storytelling in public space.

Theme: Open

Photographers are invited to submit images that fall into any one of the following categories:

• Abstract

• Documentary

• Landscape

• People

• Creatures

• Street Photography

• Still Life

We are looking for striking and engaging photographic work for a diverse public audience in an open-air setting.

Who Can Apply:

• Open to photographers of all levels, from emerging talents to seasoned professionals

• Open to all photographic processes: alternative, film or digital

• International submissions accepted

Submission Guidelines:

• Up to 5 high-resolution image files (JPEG Only)

• $45 for up to 5 images

• Do not forget to add titles for each image

• Submission Deadline: September 1, 2026

• Jury selections made by: September 6, 2026

Selection Criteria:

• Relevance to the theme

• Technical quality and originality

• Artistic vision and storytelling

Exhibition Details:

• Location: Dix Park, Downtown Raleigh, NC

• Exhibition Dates: October 1-31, 2026

• Opening Reception: First Friday, October 2, 2026

How to Submit: Submissions will be made through Smarter Entry Please note, with each application you may submit up to 5 images. Do not forget to add titles for each image.

Images not selected for the Plein Air outdoor exhibition will be eligible to be included in a traveling slide show presented at various locations throughout the Triangle during the month of October.

Theme: JOY

What does JOY, look like to you? Is it found in a fleeting smile, a quiet landscape, a family celebration, an unexpected encounter, or a moment of personal triumph?

The Click! Photography Festival invites photographers of all experience levels to submit original images for JOY, a unique photography exhibition in and around storefronts at City Market in Raleigh, North Carolina. We welcome all genres of photography— from documentary and street photography to portraits, landscapes, abstract work, and experimental imagery—that explore, interpret, or evoke the many expressions of joy.

This is an opportunity to share your vision with festival attendees and the broader community while transforming downtown City Market into an immersive gallery of photographic art.

All photographic techniques and processes are welcome; however, AI-generated images are not eligible for submission.

Join us in creating a celebration of joy through the power of photography.

Artists do not need to ship accepted artworks. All selected entries will be printed and displayed in storefront windows along with the possibility of a projection event on First Friday.
