Click! Plein Air
The click! plein air fence exhibition returns to moore square!
We’re excited to invite photographers from around the world to submit their work for Click! Plein Air, an outdoor photography exhibition celebrating the power of visual storytelling in public space.
We are looking for striking and engaging photographic work for a diverse public audience in an open-air setting.
Theme: Open
Photographers are invited to submit images that fall into any one of the following categories:
• Abstract • Documentary • Landscape • People • Creatures • Street Photography • Still Life
You may submit work in any combination you wish. It may be all in 1 category or among several. We want to see you best work in any category!
Who Can Apply:
• Open to photographers of all levels, from emerging talents to seasoned professionals • Open to all photographic processes: alternative, film or digital • International submissions accepted
Submission Guidelines:
• Up to 5 high-resolution image files (JPEG Only). Minimum of 3000 pixels on the longest side. • $45 for up to 5 images • Do not forget to add titles for each image • Submission Deadline: September 3, 2025 • Jury selections made by: September 10, 2025
Selection Criteria:
• Relevance to the theme • Technical quality and originality • Artistic vision and storytelling
Exhibition Details:
• Location: Moore Square, Downtown Raleigh, NC • Exhibition Dates: October 1-30, 2025 • Opening Reception: October 1, 2025
How to Submit:
Submissions will be made through Smarter Entry Please note, with each application you may submit up to 5 images. Do not forget to add titles for each image.
Selected artists will need to provide a high resolution digital file of thier selected work for printing.
Images not selected for the Plein Air outdoor exhibition will be eligible to be included in a traveling slide show presented at various locations throughout the Triangle during the month of October.

Juror: Chole Coleman
Chloe Coleman is an award-winning senior photo assignment editor at The Washington Post. Her career in photo editing began at NPR, followed by The Denver Post. She has worked on various news desks at The Washington Post since 2014, including five years as an international news photo assignment editor. In 2023, she joined the Opinions desk as their first photo editor, assigning photography and commissioning visually led opinion pieces.
She is a graduate of the photojournalism program at the Rochester Institute of Technology and serves as a faculty member at The Kalish Visual Editing Workshop.
